I have been using this product for well over a year and absolutely love it.I had read a lot about it on the car detailing forums and was a bit skeptical, but ordered it along with the Ultima car wash and Paint Prep Plus.I first clayed the car and then applied the Paint Prep Plus by hand with the applicator that was included with that product.I buffed that off with a microfiber towel. Then it was time for the Ultima Paint Guard Plus. You simply spray the blue microfiber applicator (included) a couple of times to "prime" it and then apply it to the body panel. The normal temptation is to apply too much, especially if you're used to applying conventional waxes that need to dry to a haze, but one or two sprays on the applicator is enough to do an entire body panel or at least half a panel depending on size. The first coat took maybe 20 minutes. That's it, you're done...unless you want to apply additional coats or layers. It is a WOWA...wipe on, walk away..product. The only time you would have to buff it off is if you applied too much. It takes a full 12 hours to cure (one of the very few drawbacks to using the product).Over the weekend I applied a total of three coats. After the first one, I got it down to about ten minutes each including the roof of my small SUV.Be mindful that this is a sealant, not a wax, so the result will not have the same depth and warmth as if you had used a higher end carnuba wax. What you do get is a very clean and glossy finish that will leave your car's paint extremely slick.Another huge plus over waxes is the durability...after 4 moths of Florida weather, the finish had lost some slickness, but it was still glossy and beading water. Now, whenever my car starts to lose some slickness, I just do another layer since it only takes ten minutes.

I know this reads like a bit of a commercial for this product, but I assure you I have absolutely no affiliation with this company.I am simply that impressed with it.

A good friend of mine just bought a Shelby GT350 Mustang and asked me to help him detail it.He had never clayed a car before (yes, you have to clay new cars, too) and had only used conventional waxes. We did the same procedure I outlined above and the difference was very noticeable. There were several people working on their own cars in the place where we detailed the Shelby and they thought we were a bit "off" for doing all this to what was essentially a new car. After we were done and the product had a chance to set up for a while, everyone was impressed.

Don't be put off by the price, that bottle contains enough product to coat an average car 50 times if you apply it properly and don't overdo it.
