(More customer reviews)We use this gun in our Collision Repair College program.We purchased the gun to use for applying heavy coatings like 2k primer surfacers and other types of heavy build primer.The p-pages for the primer that we use recommend using a 1.6 to 1.8 tip.Therefore, if you purchase this gun, I would use the 1.8 of the three tips provided.The 1.3 will work well for basecoat and the 1.5 will work well for clear coat.We have not used the other tips for base coat or clear coat, but if you are a DIY you could use this gun for all three.Always be sure to read the paint p-pages to see what they recommend as all paint makers may vary.
This is not my favorite gun, but I give this gun a high rating for the DIY because you get a lot for the cost.I also rate it high for a primer gun for someone wanted a 2nd less expensive paint gun.
