(More customer reviews)My 5 year old added a few really bad scratches to both of my door panels. I've always known there was a concept of 'compounding out' scratches from auto paint but have never done it myself.
The 3M kit worked great. Step by step instructions together with all the tools you need. I was pretty nervous wet sanding my car's finish but in the end the scratches all disappeared and the car looks great.
Two things to consider:
The kit come with very little rubbing compound and shine restorer. Also, the two substances come in non-resealable packets. Also, the sanding wheel wears out pretty quickly. You can always buy more but I'd say that this kit is only good for lots of scratches (surface area) but only one or two sessions as the packets will dry out.
Also, if your paint is chipped you'll need touch-up paint from your manufacturer. Instructions are included to repair chips but the paint is required and a little more time is needed.
Again, very satisfied with overall cost and results.
